Rock Your Vote

With great power comes great responsibility.

Damn, how can I ever forget that scene from Spider-man when Peter Parker’s uncle delivered that incredibly profound statement. It did move me deeply.

Now, remembering those scripted words brings me back to the realities of today. That very cinematic and yet sincere line concretely declares and mirrors the need of this generation’s society: sense of responsibility.

On May 14th, we shall be deciding the future of this nation. We shall be sketching the framework of our coming tomorrows. And as young citizens of this country, we shall be altering the political landscape of this so-old spoiled system of governance; that is, if and only if we dare take the entailed responsibility and vote only the rightful public servants. Right then and there, we shall transform.

More than ever, now is the perfect moment for the youth to take action. This nation calls for us to care; we can never afford not to care. We have been given the power to break this insane scheme of government. And hell, we already had enough! We’re too fed up with so much dishonesty, fraudulence, and corruption! Therefore, we must go out and vote rightfully on the 14th. Mind you, we need to take this seriously for we shall be responsible for the results of our judgments.

However, we might all doubt the credibility of the coming elections. But, that is likewise the exact reason why we need to get involved. We need to watch out and look after our preciously etched votes on ballots and alert ourselves when inconsistencies and discrepancies transpire. In these ways, we shall safeguard the integrity and reliability of the elections.

With great power comes great responsibility.
