Heroes & Heroines

A myth.

They say heroes were made, never born. I say, yes! Heroes were so. They became the great that they are because of what they have chosen in the past.. because of their principles, beliefs and causes, not because they were conceived to be so.

And gladly, I found heroes made during the past weeks. I found young, strong and great heroes and heroines from such a small group of people who fought for what they believed in, people who cried out loud only for the truth to be heard.. my fellow junior and senior colleagues.

Though we were not heard and though we were not recognized, I dare say that we all shall be remembered.. just like heroes who were also not heard and recognized then but glorified and honored today for the beliefs they have fought for.. for the causes they have died for.

So to all 3rd year and 4th year students of STI College Balanga, who bravely fought for our mentor, I congratulate you. We all have been heroes and heroines in our own special ways.

Remember that never was it known that young people like us are capable of doing great things, of causing change.. but now, we witness our very selves doing what is right, telling what is truthful and fighting what is just and fair.

May God bless us all. May we find answers to our questions. Let's just be strong. Let's keep on praying.
